We’d love to meet you before booking or before the wedding. Is this possible?

Yes definitely :) I love to meet couples for a chat either in person or over Zoom if that’s more convenient for you. I am based in Manly, on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and I’m happy to grab a coffee and go over your ideas and your vision for your day.


We’ve never done this before and we don’t know how to work out the timing for the day. Can you help us??

Absolutely! Let’s have a chat about the timing and logistics of what you have so far and I can help you put together a timeline that works well to avoid feeling rushed and also make the most of the best light and locations on your day.


What is your style?

I am predominantly a candid / documentary-style photographer who will spend most of your wedding moving around, capturing the unposed and genuine photos of you two (as well as your friends, family and loved ones) and documenting all the little moments as they happen. I always look around, searching for moments of real joy and happiness, capturing your day as a beautiful memory to remember forever. 

Having said all that, I know there are always photos on a wedding day that need to be ‘posed’, the big family shots, your bridal party together, the friends you went to school with, etc. In those cases, I will ask you to stand together and look at the camera. These shots will account for around 10% of my work, the remaining 90% will be pure, natural, candid photography. 

Can we see a full wedding that you have photographed?

You sure can! The photos on my website are just a snapshot of my work. Get in touch with me here and I can send you a link to a complete wedding gallery to look through, to give you a better feel for what I would shoot and deliver for your wedding.


Do we get all the photos? How many would we get after the wedding?

Well…yes and no. When I shoot a wedding, I can take a few thousand photographs. These include the magical photos you’ll want to keep forever and also the awkward, eyes-half-closed, 15 chin, 10 of the same thing moment…you know the ones! After the wedding, I backup the day, then go through everything that has been shot and cull the photos that aren’t worth keeping. The final product delivered to you is a curated collection that is usually between 60-100 for every hour of coverage. So in a typical wedding of 7 hours, you can expect around 420-700 quality photos.


Do you offer videography?

No, I am purely a stills photographer. I do work with some amazing videographers who have a similar candid style to mine and I’m happy to recommend them to you. There are some incredibly talented people making wedding films in Australia at the moment!

Do we need a second photographer?

I photograph most of my weddings as the sole photographer. This works perfectly for most of my couples, however it all depends on the size and requirements you have for your day. Working on my own allows me to move around discretely and capture more of the little moments. I’m very experienced at this and I really can capture everything you need on the day. If, however, you are planning a big wedding with a substantial amount of guests or if you have two events happening at the same time in different locations, then I definitely recommend booking a second shooter with me.


How long do we have to wait until we receive the photos?

After your wedding day, I will always get a few of my favourite photos edited and to you within a few days of the wedding day, this way you have something immediate to share with friends and family. The turnaround time for the full set of photos is approximately 4-6 weeks from the wedding date.


Do you photograph same-sex weddings?

100% yes! I photograph people who are in love and who want to celebrate with their family and friends. I want to capture all the joy, tears and special moments of you and your partner regardless of gender. I’m elated that Australia has finally embraced and legalised same-sex marriage, allowing everyone the opportunity to marry the person they love. I look forward to capturing many more same-sex weddings. 


Do you photograph weddings outside of Sydney? If so, is there an extra charge?

Yes, I love getting away and shooting weddings in a variety of locations and landscapes. I have photographed people all over Australia and even overseas. 

There is no travel charge for weddings within the greater Sydney area. If your location is outside this area, I do charge a small travel fee to cover my cost to get there and back (and a simple motel room if an overnight stay is required).
